Genealogy & Local History

The Genealogy and Local History collection at the library is housed in the Beem Room on the library's main floor.  Most of the items in the collection cannot be used outside the library, but there are exceptions. 

Research assistance is available for those wishing to learn more about their family history or about the history of the Loudonville-Perrysville area.  Please e-mail (mathiera@loudonvillelibrary.org) your research requests as this is the most effective way of fielding and responding to queries.  If you are searching for a particular obituary, please check out the Obituary Index to determine if we have access to a copy that we can find for you.  For those interested in using microfilm, there is a microfilm reader available for use in the room.
