Hello! My name is Debbie Knoll [1] (knollde@loudonvillelibrary.org [2]) (“Miss Debbie” to my young friends), and I am one of the Children’s Librarians at the library. I love libraries and have worked in a variety of library services. My educational background is in psychology, education, philosophy, sociology, and theology. As you can see, I just couldn’t decide! So, I studied the best thing of all, librarianship.
I have had the rich pleasure of serving the children and families of the Loudonville community for almost four years, alongside a truly devoted staff of library community partners. Come and play! And please, let me help you find information, answer your questions, help you help your children achieve success, and otherwise assist you here at the library.
Hi, my name is Kristy Spreng [3] (sprengkr@loudonvillelibrary.org [4]), and I have been one of the Children's Librarians at the library since 2003. I am a Loudonville native and a graduate of the Ohio State University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I currently live in Loudonville with my husband, daughter, and two Jack Russell Terriers.
It is an honor to be working with children and their families in this community. Please feel free to let me help you with any of your library needs. One of our goals at the library is to provide a friendly and inviting atmosphere where patrons of all ages feel comfortable. Come and visit us soon!

The library can connect you to resources that will help you with that next school assignment or project. If you need a little assistance finding books on a particular topic or if you just don't know where to start, you have a few options.
There are a variety of programs that are offered throughout the year that are just for kids and their parents/caregivers. Some are for fun. Some are educational. All are exciting opportunities to get to the library and to experience something new.
Below is a listing of the children's programs that the library offers on a regular basis. Other programs, such as after hours hide-n-seek and the like, are offered more infrequently. Regardless of the program, all dates and times for library events can be viewed on the Event Calendar [39]. Please contact Debbie Knoll [40] (knollde@loudonvillelibrary.org [2]) or Kristy Spreng [41] (sprengkr@loudonvillelibrary.org [4]) with any questions.
The Children's Department is focused on providing parents and caregivers with tools and resources that they can use to help their children develop literacy skills and a lifelong love of reading. Please explore the sites below for information on how parents and caregivers can foster a literacy rich environment at home and play an active role in preparing their children for school and future success.
